Norma Jane Lee Lunman 86, formerly of Belleville, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2010, surrounded by her family at Penfield Place Nursing Home in Penfield, NY.

She was born April 27, 1924 a daughter of Manford C. and Lulu Julia Martin Lee at home in Ellisburg, NY. She was a 1941 graduate of the Union Academy of Belleville and a 1943 graduate of Cazenovia College.

She worked as a medical secretary after graduation from college. While raising her family she worked as a bookkeeper for Lunmans Furniture and Appliance Store in Adams, Herrons Farm Supply in Belleville and for several years as clerk for the Belleville Central School Board, from which she retired.

She married Jack Paul Lunman on June 18, 1945. She is survived by three sons and their wives, Jack Paul II and Pam of Gloversville, NY, David and Kathy of Watertown, NY and Gene and Joan of Tolland, CT; two daughters and their husbands, JoAnn and Tom Eduardo of Fairport, NY and Diane and Nelson Bayron of Southington, CT; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Norma was predeceased by her husband Jack, her parents, her brother Howard M. Lee and her sister Marian Lee Frazier.

She was active in the Belleville community and following retirement she lived in Largo, FL for several years before returning to the Adams/Watertown area. In 2002 she moved to Penfield, NY, near her daughter JoAnn, where she resided until her death.

Norma had a love for music and enjoyed playing the organ. Her favorite past times included crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She was an excellent cook, well known for her sweet rolls and scalloped potatoes and ham.

Normas greatest joy was being surrounded by her family and friends, sharing a good joke, preparing a meal together or playing games gathered around the table, special moments were made. Her family holds dear these memories and will forever carry on the cherished traditions.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, November 13th, from 1:00 to 2:30pm with a memorial service immediately following at the Carpenter-Stoodley funeral home, Belleville.
