The memorial service for Chester N. Shultz 78, of the Military Road, will be 2:30 PM Saturday, October 6th, at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be 12 Noon to 2:30PM Saturday, at the funeral home.

Mr. Shultz died Saturday noon, at his home, under the care of his family and Hospice of Jefferson Co.

Dorothy W. Matthews

Dorothy W. Matthews 94, of 2968 County Route 121, died Saturday evening in the Lewis County Hospital Nursing Facility. She had been a resident there since June 15th.

The funeral service will be 1:00PM Wednesday at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville. Burial will be in the Ellisburg Cemetery. Calling hours will be 3:00 to 7:00PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Contributions may be made to either the Ellisburg Cemetery Association or the Ellisburg United Methodist Church, Ellisburg, NY 13636, in her memory.



Carolyn C. McWithey

September 12, 2007

Carolyn C. McWithey 62, of 13413 Bishop Street, died Tuesday evening, at her home, under the care of her family and Hospice.

A graveside service will be in Smithville Cemetery, at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours, the body was cremated. Arrangements are with the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville.



Irving F. Porter September 7, 2007

Irving F. Porter 91, of 5289 Log London Road, died in the Emergency Room at the Samaritan Medical Center, Friday morning, after being stricken ill at home.

The funeral service will be 10:00AM Monday at the Mannsville United Methodist Church, with pastor Mary Drake officiating. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Watertown.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00PM at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville.

Madison “Matt” Cobb

September 5, 2007

The funeral service for Madison “Matt” Cobb, 85, of 11604 Rays Bay Road, will be a graveside service at the convenience of the family.

Calling hours will be Friday 6:00 to 8:00PM at the Carpenter-Stoodley funeral home, Belleville.

Mr. Cobb died Tuesday afternoon, at his home, following a lengthy ill, under the care of his family and Hospice of Jefferson County.

Dorothy A. Smith 98, of 56 East Church St., died Sunday afternoon in Mercy of Northern New York. She had been a resident at Mercy since August of 2000.

The funeral service will be 3:00PM Wednesday at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Adams Center. A calling hour will be Wednesday 2:00 to 3:00PM, prior to the funeral service, at the funeral home.
