Robert B. Wood, 64, a resident of Mercy of Northern New York for 2 years, died Wednesday morning at the Samaritan Medical Center.

Mr. Wood worked for the postal service for a few years and was a farm worker for most of his working life until retiring due to ill health.

He was born in Watertown, December 4, 1944, a son of Bruce and Mae Wood. He attended local schools. He married Christine Marie Prow, May 26, 1981. 2 previous marriages ended in divorce.

Besides his wife, he is survived by 3 daughters, Marjorie Jean Martin, Watertown, Christina Wood and her companion, Michael Smith, Watertown, Dorthea Rose LaSalle, Las Vegas, NV. 2 sons, Bruce, Watertown and Robert, Redwood. 6 grandchildren several great grandchildren. Several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews also survive him.

The funeral will be Friday 4pm at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Murray, pastor of Holy Family Church, officiating. Burial will be private following cremation. Calling hours are Friday from 2p – 4pm at the funeral home.
