Robert C. Hollenbeck, Sr.

The funeral for Robert C. Hollenbeck, Sr. will be Wednesday 12 noon at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home. Burial will be private following cremation. A calling hour will be Wednesday from 11am to noon at the funeral home.

Mr. Hollenbeck, 69, of 513 Binsse St., died Saturday in the emergency room of the Samaritan Medical Center.

Mr. Hollenbeck was born December 31, 1938, a son of Raymond and Jennie Bush Hollenbeck. He attended Watertown schools. He served with the US Marine Corps in 1956. Mr. Hollenbeck was employed at Hang Up Put Down Shoppe and as a maintenance tech with Neighbors of Watertown until retiring in 2001. He enjoyed gardening, flower gardening, music, fishing, and taping old movies.

He married Venita Young, May 17, 1995. A previous marriage ended in divorce.

Besides his wife, he is survived by 3 daughters, Randi Lynn and Holly Hollenbeck, both at home, Terry Hollenbeck, Chaumont. 4 sons, Robert, Jr., Arizona, Jeffrey, Mark and Steven, address’ unknown. Several grandchildren. 3 sisters, Katherine Youngs and Betty Grieco of Watertown, and Roselyn Bartlett, Brownville. Several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a son, Randy. 4 brothers, John, Raymond, Jerry and Daniel, and 4 sisters, Ruth Youngs, Florence Reese, Delores Green and Gloria Ray also predeceased him.
