John K. Ballentine, Jr.

John K. Ballentine, Jr. 76, of 176 Terminal Loop Road, McQueeney, TX, died Monday at the rehabilitation facility, Heartland of San Antonio, San Antonio, TX.

Mr. Ballentine was a 20 year retiree of the US Army.

He was born in Watertown, September 7, 1931, a son of John K. and Hazel Carr Ballentine. He was educated in Watertown schools. He remained in Texas following his discharge from the military.

A marriage ended in divorce.

He is survived by a son, Daryn P. and 2 daughters, Darlene and Nancy, all of Texas. 4 sisters, Janet Phillips, Patricia Phillips, Ida Lamoreaux, all of Watertown, Mrs. Robert (Carol) Warner, Theresa. Several nieces and nephews. His caretaker, Stephanie Letbetter and her children, Darren & Megan, Texas.

He was predeceased by his son John K. 3rd, and a brother, Herbert.

Graveside services will be held later in the spring at North Watertown Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Contributions may be made to the Cardio-Pulmonary Alumni @ Samaritan Medical Center, 830 Washington St., Watertown NY 13601.
