Dora G. Kelsey

Dora G. Kelsey, 86, of 847 LeRay St. and formerly of 318 Gale St., died Friday morning at the Samaritan Medical Center.

Mrs. Kelsey was a certified operating room technician at Mercy Hospital for many years retiring in the early 1980’s.

She was born on Wolfe Island, March 25, 1921, a daughter of Roy and Margaret Joslin Rattray. She became a naturalized citizen in 1950. She married Ronald “Rex” Kelsey October 31, 1937. Mr. Kelsey died in 1981.

Mrs. Kelsey was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by 2 nieces, Mrs. Victor (Rosemary) Kirsch, Adams, Mrs. Carl (Fern) Dunn, VanWert, OH. Many great and great great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 2 sons, Floyd E. in 2002 and Kenneth in 1977. 2 brothers, Lawrence and Jack Rattray and a sister Isabelle Harris also predeceased her.

The funeral will be Monday 2pm at the First United Methodist Church, Mullin St., with Rev. Joyce Woodcock, pastor officiating. Burial will be later in the spring in North Watertown Cemetery. A calling hour will be Monday from 1pm – 2pm at the church.
