David C. Fisk

David C. Fisk, 67, of 22538 Swan Rd., died Thursday evening at his home following a brief illness.
Mr. Fisk was a New York State Trooper for 20 years stationed primarily in the Watertown Zone for most of his career. He retired in 1982.
He was born in Groveton, NH, a son of Clinton H. and Beatrice LaBreque Fisk. He graduated from high school in Groveton. Following his graduation, he entered the New York State Police Academy. Mr. Fisk was a licensed electrician and worked for many years in construction, both self employed and for other construction firms.
Mr. Fisk owned and operated the Fisk Racing Team, racing stock cars at the Watertown Fair Grounds and Can-Am Raceway in LaFargeville. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a member of the Black Horse Chapter of retired New York State Troopers.
He married Charlene Fralick October 5, 1985 in Watertown.
Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law, David J. and Tammy, St. Meinrad, IN, John C. and Amy, No. Tonawanda. 3 daughters and a son-in-law, Brenda A. Fisk, Watertown, Toni J. Jones, Tucson, AZ, and Tricia L. and Brian Nortz, Dexter. 8 grandchildren. One sister, Joan Parks, Groveton, NH. Nieces and nephews. A brother, Paul, predeceased him.
A memorial service will be Monday 7pm at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home with Rev. Adele Spencer, officiating. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery later in the spring. Calling hours are Monday from 5p – 7pm at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County, the Juvenile Diabetes Association or to the General Brown School Relay for Life Team, c/o General Brown School, Dexter.
