Chester W. Horning, Jr.

Chester E. Horning, Jr., 61 of 206 State St., Henry Keep Apts, died Tuesday at his home.

Mr. Horning worked various jobs throughout the United States and the north country retiring many years ago after suffering several severe strokes.

He was born in Watertown a son of Chester W. and Alice Lewis Horning, Sr. He was educated in Watertown and Lyme Central schools. Mr. Horning served with the US Army from 1963 – 1966.

Besides his mother of Watertown, he is survived by 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Tina and Andre Phalen, Depauville, Debbie Walker, Chaumont. A son, Christopher Horning, address unknown. Several grandchildren. 4 brothers, Robert and Frank, both of Watertown, Richard, Burbank, CA, Michael, Baker Oregon. Several nieces and nephews. A daughter, Elizabeth (Becky) Horning and a brother, Charles predeceased him

Graveside services will be held in the spring at the New Cedar Grove Cemetery, Chaumont. Calling hours are Saturday from 2p – 4pm at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home.
