Mary R. Hough

Mary R. Hough, 69, formerly of Skyline Apts., died Monday morning at the Samaritan Keep Nursing Home where she had resided since August of 2007.

Mrs. Hough worked in the laundry at the Jefferson Rehabilitation Center for 28 years. She also worked at Chappy’s Restaurant on Coffeen Street for 6 years. She attended chapel services at the Samaritan Keep Home and enjoyed embroidering.

She was born in Watertown, March 22, 1939, a daughter of Henry and Ida Moore Anderson. She married Brian Hough in 1964. They were later divorced.

Besides her ex-husband and friend of Penn Yan, she is survived by 2 daughters, Tammy Hodge, North Carolina, Lori Gibson, Watertown. A son, James, LaFargeville. 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. 2 brothers, William and David Anderson, both of Watertown. 8 nieces and nephews. A brother, Herbert predeceased.

The funeral will be Thursday 8pm at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home with Rev. Leon VanWie, pastor of Asbury United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Reed Cemetery, Jacobs Rd., Town of Rutland following cremation. Calling hours are Thursday from 6p – 8pm at the funeral home.
