Michael P. “Skip” Presley

Michael P. “Skip” Presley, 53, of 1708 Ohio St., died Thursday morning at his home under the care of his family and Hospice of Jefferson County. He had been ill with throat cancer for 5 years.
Mr. Presley was a night clerk at the P & C Grocery store in the Seaway Plaza until retiring due to ill health.
He was born in Watertown, December 27, 1954, a son of Ralph and Shirley Fleming Presley. He attended Watertown schools. He served in the Marine Reserves from 1972 until his honorable discharge in 1978. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and playing guitar,
He married Sharon J. Dunn in the Town of Rutland, October 18, 1979.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Kevin Beach, Watertown. 2 grandsons, Gavin and Cody England. 2 sisters and their husbands, Donna and Tom Booth, Brownville, Christine and Dave Gardner, Barnes Corners. Several nieces and nephews.
A brother Ralph, predeceased him.
There will be no funeral service. Burial will be private. Calling hours are Monday from 7p – 9pm at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to Hospice.
