Geraldine Soluri Geraldine Soluri, 74, of 19100 Rt 12 E, died Thursday evening at her home under the care of her family and Hospice of Jefferson County.

Mrs. Soluri was an optical technician with Pearl Vision and Meade Optician’s of Watertown for many years retiring in the early 1990’s.

She was born in Philadelphia, January 4, 1934, a daughter of Kenneth and Mabel Love Fleming. She graduated from Watertown High School. She married Samuel A. Soluri May of 1964. Mr. Soluri, a retired St. Regis Paper Co. Steam engineer died February 4, 1999.

Mrs. Soluri was a member of the Black River Valley Fiddlers. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Brenda McConnell, Brownville and Lorrie DeMarco, Watertown. 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. 3 sisters, Shirley Hammond and Sharon Whitmore, both of Brownville and Lillian Briggs of Watertown. A brother, Wayne Fleming, North Carolina. Several nieces and nephews. Three sisters, Joyce Gibeau, Esther Fleming and Evon Rafferty and a brother Wendell Fleming predeceased her.

The funeral will be Monday 11am at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, Watertown with Rev. Kevin O’Brien, pastor of Immaculate Conception Church, Brownville officiating. Burial will be in Brownville Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday from 3p – 6pm at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County.
