Dorothy H. Hibbard

Dorothy H. Hibbard, 78, of 1120 Gill St., died Wednesday evening at her home.

Mrs. Hibbard was a cafeteria aid at Holy Family School, Immaculate Heart Central School. She was employed at Holiday Inn for 12 years and did domestic work in the city retiring in 2001.

She was born April 25, 1929, a daughter of Ryel and Gladys Perkins Dailey. She was educated in Watertown schools. She enjoyed gardening and cooking.

She married Dale Hibbard December 29, 1945. The marriage ended in divorce.

Mrs. Hibbard is survived by 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Stephen, Aaron and Mitzi, all of Watertown. 4 grandchildren, Brooke, Michael, Jenna and Hayden Hibbard, all of Watertown. 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Ethel and Edward Parent, Watertown, Genevieve and William Van Luven, Copenhagen. One brother and sister-in-law, Bud and Julie Dailey, Corning. Several nieces and nephews. 2 sisters, Beverly Neise and Elizabeth Johnson and a brother, Bill Dailey predeceased her.

Private gravesides services will be held in the spring at North Watertown Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Contributions may be made to the Sisters of the Precious Blood, Pratt St., Watertown. Arrangements are with the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home.
