Jean M. Augustus The funeral for Jean M. Augustus will be Wednesday 2pm at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home with Rev.’s Leon “Toby” Schilling and Timothy Labouf co-officiating. Burial will be in North Watertown Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday from 10 am until 2pm at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.

Mrs. Augustus, 82, of Olive St., died Friday at the Samaritan Medical Center.

She was born in Edwards, May 12, 1925, a daughter of Glenn and Vera Noble Davis. She graduated from Edwards High School. She married Stanley J. Augustus, March 4, 1944. Mr. Augustus died January 11, 1975.

Mrs. Augustus worked for the United States Post Office in Watertown for 32 years retiring in 1988. She was a faithful communicant of the First Baptist Church, Watertown. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting, and spending time with her family. She volunteered in the soup kitchen at the Salvation Army.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Sally Murphy, Brownville and Nancy Scully, both of Watertown. 2 sons and their companions, Terry Augustus and Cynthia Casper, Bloomingdale, Glenn Augustus and Eileen Minnie, Lake Clear. 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren. A brother, Robert Davis, Edwards, and a sister Mary Chapin, Watertown. Several nieces and nephews.
