Virginia S. “Jinny” Overton

July 19, 2007

Virginia S. “Jinny” Overton, 86 of Rt 178, died Friday night at the Samaritan Medical Center. She had resided in the Samaritan Keep Nursing Home for the past 6 months.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday for the convenience of the family in Elmwood Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Monday from 7p – 9pm at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Contributions may be made to the Samaritan Keep Nursing Home 2nd Floor Residents Fund.



John K. “Jack” Bowman

July 19, 2007

John K. “Jack” Bowman 85, of 8704 Swan Road, died Friday morning, at his home where he had been under hospice care for five days.

A memorial service will be 5:00PM Monday at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home with Pastor James Hayes of the Christian Life Center, Chaumont officiating. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be in the Adams State Road Cemetery at the convenience of the family.



Annie J. Jennings July 17, 2007

Annie J. Jennings 91 of Riverbend Drive died Tuesday morning in the Samaritan Medical Center where she was transferred from the Samaritan Keep Home earlier in the day. She had been a resident of Samaritan Keep Home since March of this year.

The funeral service will be 11:00AM Saturday at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville. Burial will be in Adams Rural Cemetery. A calling hour will be 10:00 to 11:00AM Saturday prior to the funeral at the funeral home.



Clifford E. Cool

July 16, 2007

A graveside service for Clifford E. Cool 69, of Henderson and Leesburg, FL, will be 3:00PM Saturday in Evergreen Cemetery, Roberts Corners, with Rev. Sharon Satterlee pastor of the Henderson United Methodist Church, officiating.

Mr. Cool died May 4th at his home on Crystal Lake in the Town of Henderson.





Michael J. Manchester

July 3, 2007

Michael J. Manchester, 24, of 2562 Ellis Rd., died Tuesday morning in the Samaritan Medical Center where he had been a patient for one week. He has been ill with Muscular Dystrophy since birth.

He was born in Watertown, December 14, 1982, a son of David and Becky Miller Manchester. He graduated from South Jefferson High School in 2001. He enjoyed NASCAR, watching television, spending time with his cousins and Harley Davidson motorcycles. Michael loved his animals, they included his 3 dogs, a cat and bird.

Besides his parents of Mannsville, he is survived by a brother, Randy Caufield, Mannsville. A paternal grandmother, Vernice Manchester, Boylston. His maternal grandparents, Keitha and Everett Richer, New Hampshire. Several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The funeral will be Saturday 10:00am at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville with Rev. Brian Snyder, pastor of the Sandy Creek Wesleyan Church officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sandy Creek. Calling hours are Friday from 6p – 8pm at the funeral home.



Eugene G. Piddock

July 3, 2007

Eugene G. Piddock 71, of 12521 County Route 72, died Tuesday morning, at his home, under the care of his family and Hospice of Jefferson County.

A memorial service will be 10:00AM Friday at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00PM Thursday, at the funeral home.
