Donald H. Rumsey

January 26, 2007

The funeral for Donald H. Rumsey, Jr. will be Monday 11am at the Smithville Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Wilson, pastor, officiating. Spring burial will be in Smithville Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday 2p – 4pm and 7p – 9pm at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville. Contributions may be made to the Smithville Baptist Church or to the Smithville Fire Department.

Mr. Rumsey, 68, of 14090 Co. Rt 75, died Thursday at his home.





Richard B. Stevens, 58, of Rt. 193, and president of O.D. Greene Ace Hardware in Adams and Sackets Harbor, died Saturday evening at his home under the care of Hospice of Jefferson County. Funeral arrangements are with the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville.




E. Arlene Whitney

January 20, 2007

E. Arlene Whitney, 84, of Harbor View Drive, died Friday in the intensive care unit of the Samaritan Medical Center where she had been a patient for 1 week.

Mrs. Whitney The funeral will be Tuesday 11am at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville with Rev. Sharon Satterlee, pastor of the Henderson United Methodist Church officiating. Spring burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Town of Henderson. Calling hours are Monday from 2p – 4pm and 7p – 9pm at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Henderson Methodist Church or to the Henderson Volunteer Ambulance Squad.



Marshall C. Barney

January 19, 2007

The funeral for Marshall C. Barney will be Monday 11am at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home with Rev. Sharon Satterlee, pastor of the Belleville United Methodist Church officiating. Spring burial will be in Woodside Cemetery following cremation. Calling hours are Sunday from 2p – 4pm and 7p – 9pm at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Belleville Methodist Church or the Belleville Volunteer Fire Department.

Mr. Barney, 76, of Seminole Florida and formerly of Belleville, died Wednesday at his home in Florida.

Stephen J. Cobb, 61, of 5951 Machold Rd., died Wednesday evening at his home following a lengthy illness.

The funeral will be Saturday 1pm at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville, with Rev. Sharon Satterlee, pastor of the Belleville United Methodist Church officiating. Spring burial will be in Ellisburg Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 2p – 4pm and 7p – 9pm at the funeral home. Joseph Vaadi January 16, 2007

Joseph Vaadi, II, 88, of 47 Wardwell St., died Tuesday at Mercy of Northern New York where he had been a resident for 2 years.

A memorial service will be Thursday 11am at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville, with Rev. Douglas Decker, pastor of St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, Adams, officiating. The body will be cremated. There are no calling hours. Contributions may be made to the South Jefferson Rescue Squad, 26 North Main St., Adams, NY 13605.



Harold C. LaRock, Sr. January 13, 2007

Harold C. LaRock, Sr., 89, of Harborview Rd., died Friday at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient since Tuesday. He has been a resident at the Vivian Teal Howard Nursing Home, Syracuse for 2 years.

The will be no funeral or calling hours. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery, Town of Ellisburg. Arrangements are with the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville.
