Georgia A. Rogers

Georgia A. Rogers 81, of 14841 County Route 91, died Wednesday evening, at her home, where she was under the care of Hospice of Jefferson County.

She was born December 31, 1926 in Mexico, NY a daughter of Myron and Dorothy Wilcox, Rogers, Sr. She attended Mannsville Manor Central School. She lived in the Ellisburg area and worked in the military manufacturing area for General Electric in Syracuse for thirty eight years retiring in 1988.

She was never married and had lived at 14841 County Route for the past twenty seven years. She enjoyed traveling in the states and overseas, attending country and western shows, her favorite was Conway Twitty.

She is survived by two brothers, Howard “Zip” Rogers of Mannsville and James Rogers of Ellisburg; three sisters, Arlene Paterson of Adams, Alice Riley of Mannsville and Cecil Rogers of Ellisburg; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Myron, Jr. and Edward; and three sisters, Virginia Thompson, Frances Archibee and Phyllis Curtiss.

The funeral service will be 12Noon Saturday at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville. Burial will be in Adams Rural Cemetery.
