The memorial service for Chester N. Shultz 78, of the Military Road, will be 2:30 PM Saturday, October 6th, at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be 12 Noon to 2:30PM Saturday, at the funeral home.
Mr. Shultz died Saturday noon, at his home, under the care of his family and Hospice of Jefferson Co.
He was born April 29, 1929 in Batavia a son of Frank and Beatrice Craine, Shultz. He married Ella Musshafen November 18, 1950 in LeRoy. He worked on the Wehle farms in Three Mile Bay for thirteen years, and was farm manager for the Wehle’s Elhew Kennels in Scottsville and then in Henderson for thirty seven years.
After his retirement he worked with the Green Thumb program at the Robert G. Wehle State Park in Henderson. He was known to his friends and family as a hard worker, always willing to lend a helping hand.
He is survived by his wife, Ella; 2 daughters and their husbands, Sue and Jim Diermeier of Yorktown, Sharon and Bob White of McGraw; 3 sons and 2 daughter-in-laws, Frank and Janece of McGraw, John of Henderson, Charlie and Jane of Scottsville; 2 sisters, Beverly Barnard of Byron and Helen Keene of Albion; a brother, Alan Shultz of Byron; 8 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.
He was a former member of the 3 Mile Bay Fire Department.
