Carolyn C. McWithey Carolyn C. McWithey 62, of 13413 Bishop Street, died Tuesday evening, at her home, under the care of her family and Hospice.

She was born October 21, 1944 in Pittsburg, PA, the daughter of Evelyn Wells. She attended Union Endicott School. She married Alan J. McWithey May 4, 1968 in St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Adams. They had lived on Bishop Street since they were married. Mr. McWithey died June 8, 1996.

She worked as a bartender at O’Donnell Hotel in Henderson Harbor, at Lally’s Manufacturing in Adams, and for twenty three years at Wescott Beach State Park in the Maintenance Department, retiring in 2006.

Survivors include her mother, Evelyn of Johnson City; 2 daughters and their husbands, Robyn and Richard Stephenson of Greenville, TX, and Tina and Peter Keck of Henderson; 6 grandchildren, Joshua, Madelynn, Emily and Ryleigh Marie Stephenson, and Timothy and Michael Keck; 2 sisters and their husbands, Shirley and Denny Westover of Apalachin, and Linda and David Williams of Adams; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Michael John in 1964, a nephew, Michael McWithey in 1991, and a grandson, William Stephenson in 2005.

She enjoyed working in her flower garden and various craft projects.

A graveside service will be in Smithville Cemetery, at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours, the body was cremated. Arrangements are with the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville.
