Martha E. Yoder

Martha E. Yoder 69, of 7020 Allard Road, went to be with her savior on Tuesday May 1st. She was under the care of her family and Hospice of Jefferson County.

She was born June 1, 1937 in Belleville, PA a daughter of Jonathan C. and Katie Peachey. Martha was the beloved wife of Jesse Yoder, they were married April 21, 1960. They owned and operated a dairy farm in Pennsylvania after their marriage and moved to their present home in 1994.

Surviving are her husband, Jesse; 3 daughters and their husbands, Mary Ellen and Mark Hostetler of Rockstream, NY, Julia and Chester Zook of Milroy, PA, Olive and Louie Peachey, Jr. of Woodville; 3 sons and their wives, D. Timothy and Arlene Yoder of Mannsville, Timothy and Lois Yoder of Lewisburg, PA, Jonathan and Brenda Yoder of Centerville, MI; 33 grandchildren; a brother, Mahlon Peachey of Belleville, PA, 2 sisters, Arie Byler of Timewell, IL, and Nannie Peachey of Belleville, PA;

She was a member of the Northern Light Church, Woodville. She was an artist and enjoyed painting, quilting, gardening and bee keeping, tending honey bee hives.

The funeral service will be 10:00AM Saturday at the Belleville-Henderson High School. Burial will be in the Woodville Mennonite Cemetery.

Calling hours will be 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00PM Friday at the Northern Light Church, Allard Road, Woodville. Arrangements are with the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville.
