Jane W. Parker

Mrs. Parker, 77, of Reed Canal Rd., died Tuesday evening at her home.

The funeral for Jane W. Parker will be Sunday, 3pm at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville, with Rev. Leon VanWie, pastor of the Asbury United Methodist Church, Watertown, officiating. Burial will be in Ellisburg Cemetery. Calling hours are Saturday 2p – 4pm and 7p – 9pm at the funeral home. She was born in Watertown, June 11, 1929, a daughter of Isaac and Hazel Ethridge Wright. She graduated from Belleville Union Academy in 1947. She married Ivan H. Parker April 25, 1949.

Mrs. Parker graduated from St. Elizabeth’s School of Nursing in Utica in 1974. She worked for St. Luke’s Memorial Hospital until retiring. She was a private duty nurse on Long Island until moving to Henderson Harbor in June of 2002. Mr. Parker died October 7, 1981.

She was a member of the Henderson Harbor Yacht Club and was a Hospice volunteer. She was an avid dog lover. She enjoyed downhill and cross country skiing, walking the beach, reading, swimming, politics and spending time with her grandchildren. When living away, she always considered the north country her home.

Mrs. Parker is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Todd W. and Debbie, Fairport. A daughter and son-in-law, Torre Jane Parker-Lane and Chyme Lane, Henderson Harbor. 2 grandsons, Johnathan Parker and Joshua Parker Lane.
