Robert J. Relyea

Robert J. Relyea, 72, formerly of Co. Rt. 97, Adams died Monday morning at Mercy of Northern New York where he resided.

Mr. Relyea was born May 21, 1934 in the Town Of Sullivan to Clinton and Isabelle Blair Relyea. Mr. Relyea worked as a truck driver for various companies in the area. He married Willemina Reed February 3, 1973. in Rodman. She died May 9, 2002. A previous marriage ended in divorce.

Mr Relyea enjoyed going to flea markets throughout the region.

Surviving is a son Robert, Little Rock, Ark. Two step sons, Eugene and Gordon Cronk both of Lorraine, three brothers Edward and his wife Donna, Pinewoods, NY, John of Port Charlotte, FL and Francis and his wife Doris of Canastota, four step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A sister Ann Nestved died before him.

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday (3/27) at 2pm at the Carpenter Stoodley Funeral Home in Belleville, With Enos Kurtz of Northern Lights Christian Fellowship officiating. There are no calling hours. His body was cremated. Burial will be at a later date at Adams Rural Cemetery.
