Shirley A. Spinner

Shirley A. Spinner 66, of 19668 Minkler Road, died Saturday afternoon, a her home, where she was under the care of hospice and her family.
She was born in the Town of Ellisburg, August 11, 1940 the daughter of Roy W. and Hazel Timerman, Fulkerson. She was a 1958 graduate of Mannsville-Manor Central School. Following graduation she worked as a lab technician for several years at Queens Farms Dairy in Pierrepont Manor.
2 marriages ended in divorce.
She was a homemaker for many years, when her children were growing up, she was a cashier at Price Chopper in Watertown for over 15 years, retiring in September of 2006 due to ill health. She had lived in the Adams Center area since 1970.
She is survived by 2 daughters and their husbands, Sheri and James Peters, and Traci and Scott Rogers all of Adams Center; a son, Jack Spinner and his companion, Melissa Wilcox of Rodman, and a son and his wife, Kevin and Stacey Spinner of Adams Center; 3 brothers and their wives, William H. and Charlotte Fulkerson and Roy W. Jr. and Sue Fulkerson all of Adams, and James E. and Mary Fulkerson of Woodville; 11 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by 2 brothers, Robert W. and Douglas E. Fulkerson.
Shirley enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading, spending time with her family, and she was an avid Yankee baseball fan.
The funeral service will be 3:00PM Tuesday, at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville with the Rev. Leon VanWie, pastor of the Asbury United Methodist Church, Watertown, officiating. Burial will be in the Ellisburg Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
