Doreth H. Brown

Doreth H. Brown, 92, of Co Rt. 75, Sackets Harbor died Saturday evening at the Samaritan Medical Center where she had been a patient for about 1 week.

Mrs. Brown was born Feb. 22, 1914 in Camp Mills, NY the daughter of Perrin and Linnie (Pettit) Frink. She was educated in the Sackets Harbor School and graduated the valedictorian of her class in 1933.

She married Aaron Brown on March 9, 1941 at the Belleville United Methodist Church with Rev. Miles Hutchinson officiating. Mrs. Brown was a cafeteria worker at the Sackets Harbor Central School for 10 years until she retired in 1976. Mr. Brown died April 9, 1991.

Surviving are a son and his wife Stephen and Marcia Brown, Sackets Harbor. Two grandchildren, Charles Brown, Glen Park and John Brown, Watertown. Two step grandchildren Douglas Curtis, Savannah, GA and Angela Schloeder, Black River and three great grandchildren. Two brothers Harold M. and Gordon Frink and a sister Marjorie Phelps died before her.

There will be no calling hours or funeral. Her body was cremated. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Lakeside Cemetery, Sackets Harbor. Contributions can be made in her honor to the Sackets Harbor Fire Dept. Arrangements are with the Carpenter- Stoodley Funeral Home.
