Harriet Campbell Trowbridge

Harriet Campbell Trowbridge 83, of 31 Wardwell St., died Monday morning, at her home, under the care of Hospice of Jefferson Co.
She was born February 3, 1924 in Gouverneur the daughter of Rodney and Corinne Lazenby Campbell. She graduated from Gouverneur High School in 1941 and from the House of the Good Samaritan nurses training school in the class of 1944. She was employed at the House of the Good Samaritan Hospital, in Watertown, for 30 years.
She married William W. Trowbridge of Adams Center, on May 26, 1945 in the Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Adams with Rev. H.W. Foreman officiating. After their marriage they lived in Canton where William was a 2nd year student at Canton Agricultural and Technical College. Following his graduation they moved to the Trowbridge family farm on Ayles Road in the Town of Henderson until he retired from farming in 1986. They lived in Henderson for a while until moving to their present home on Wardwell Street.
Mrs. Trowbridge was a member of the Henderson Universalist Church and a member of the House of the Good Samaritan Alumnae Association.
Survivors include her husband, William; a son and his wife, Peter and Ann of Henderson; 2 daughters and their husbands, Tracey and Robert Phelps of Rogersville, MO and Christine and Shawn Henderson of Otisco; a sister and her husband, Frances and Robert Feutz of Redmond, WA; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be 4:00PM Thursday, at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville with Rev. Toby Schilling officiating. Calling hours will be 2:00 to 4:00PM Thursday, at the funeral home, prior to the service. Burial will be at a later date.
