The funeral service for Michael J. Widrick 42, of the South Landing Road, will be 3:00PM Thursday at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville with Rev. Kyle Widrick pastor of the Grace Community Church, Adams, officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Calling hours will be 1:00 to 3:00PM Thursday, at the funeral home, prior to the service.
Mr. Widrick died Sunday morning in the Emergency Room at the Samaritan Medical Center, after being stricken at home.
He was born March 7, 1965 in Syracuse, the son of Kenneth and Joyce Nutting, Widrick. He graduated in 1984, with the last class to graduate from Belleville Central School. He worked for Waite Toyota as service manager for several years, he worked construction in the Rochester area and on 801 Housing in the Watertown area. He then ran the bait shop at the Harbor Sporting Goods Store on Route 3 in Henderson.
He is survived by his parents Kenneth and Joyce Widrick of Belleville; a sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Keith Kirby, 2 nieces, Nicole and Ashley Kirby and a great niece Elizabeth all of Belleville; his long time companion, Michelle Zeller of Ellisburg; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping, he was an accomplished chef, and also enjoyed flying and he was a student pilot.
Michael enjoyed the happiness the Make-A-Wish Foundation brought to children, and the family requests no flowers, instead donations sent to Michelle Kirby, 9318 Swan Road, Adams, NY 13605. These donations will be sent to the foundation.
