Kathleen V. “Dobbie” Higgins

Kathleen V. “Dobbie” Higgins 38, of NYS Route 193, died Monday afternoon in the Samaritan Medical Center, where she had been a patient since February 15th.

She was born May 6, 1968 in Watertown, a daughter of Herman A. and Ethel Ransear, Conklin. She attended school in Watertown and received her GED from Watertown High School.

She married Joseph Higgins September 4, 2005 in Ellisburg. Two previous marriages both ended in divorce. She had lived in Watertown and Calcium before moving to the Ellisburg area in November of 2001.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph; her mother, Ethel Conklin of Adams; 2 daughters, Mrs. Benjamin (April Baron) Schram of Watertown, and Janyce Baron of Ellisburg; 2 sons, Daniel Baron of Ellisburg, and Dakota Weaver of Watertown; a step-son, Timothy Higgins of Illinois; 5 brothers, Darryl Hollenbeck of North Carolina, Arnold Hollenbeck of Watertown, Daniel Hollenbeck of Ithaca, Richard and Glen Hollenbeck both of Texas; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father, Herman Conklin, a sister Selene Hollenbeck, and a son, Tyler Conklin.

A Memorial service will be 1:00PM Thursday at the Ellisburg United Methodist Church with Rev. Linda Harris, pastor, officiating. A calling hour will be Noon to 1:00PM Thursday, at the church, prior to the service. Burial will be at a later date in Brookside Cemetery, Watertown. Arrangements are with the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville.

She was a member of the Ellisburg United Methodist Church, she enjoyed spending hours on the computer at AOL, doing crafts and geneology.
